Health care’s trusted voice advances climate and environmental justice policy
Health system coalition advocacy supports and elevates policy to protect patient and community health, especially for communities most vulnerable to climate change. Health Care Without Harm collaborates with leading health systems to establish a coalition model and weigh in on climate policy and regulations in three states. Building health care and community resilience in Southeast Florida
Health Care Without Harm, in partnership with Cleveland Clinic and Perkins&Will, recently held a two-day virtual summit in Southeast Florida to explore ways to bolster health care and community resilience. Attendees from health care, government, academia, and community organizations came together to better understand how climate change and extreme weather events impact the region and to identify opportunities for collaboration to build more community resilience.

Series spotlights health sector’s role in building sustainable, equitable communities
Boston’s Green Ribbon Commission recently launched a virtual series focused on building an equitable, healthy, climate-resilient future for Boston, inviting representatives from the health sector, including Health Care Without Harm, to share their success stories. These webinars are part of a series designed to accelerate the implementation of Boston’s Climate Action Plan by providing high-quality content on climate resilience and carbon mitigation.

Health Care Without Harm launched a new report that charts a course for zero-emissions health care by 2050 at the 2021 Skoll World Forum. Our Global Road Map for Health Care Decarbonization identifies seven high-impact actions to put health care firmly on the road to zero emissions and provides policy recommendations for a healthier, more resilient future.
